Since I can remember, I've loved fashion. I've loved shopping, I love pink, chick flicks and dressing up. Classic girl. Sometimes I think people won't reach out from the norm, and that's where my rambling is going today.
I really hope this photograph is real, to support my point that nature is amazing. I will sound like a geek, but hey, there's something quite chic about that right?
I sit in bed with my boyfriend watching documentaries, our favourite at the moment being the David Atttenborough 'Life' series. This weekend, it was time for Reptiles and Amphibians, a subject which usually makes my toes curl right under, but I think once the barrier of disgust has been broken, there's so much to learn, and so much to be intrigued by.
Here's a lizard, usually would take me a lot of restraint not to run away screaming, that can walk on water, and is therefore nick-named the 'Jesus Christ lizard'. His predators usually come from the air, and so water provides a perfect opportunity for him to escape. He legs it across, so fast, and by plunging his feet in with such force that he can effectively run across short stretches of water. I highly recommend looking it up on youtube, watching it in slow motion is definitely worth it.
I must begin to tidy up my train of thought, my point here is to geek out sometimes. Admittedly, spending a Saturday night in bed watching David Attenborough isn't how you get wild teenage years to look back on, but do it once in a while, because it IS an amazing way to expand your horizons. Find something else you're interested in, give yourself a wider range, a 3rd dimension.
